  1. Brennan loved Booth all the way back in season 2 (Aliens in a Spaceship). I’m pretty much stuck there at the moment.

  2. I loved it. The only small things I didn’t like was that they did not show Christine at the wedding, they didn’t mention why Jared and Padme were not there and that that Booth didn’t seem horrified that he burned down a church (if he did). I still loved that almost everyone was there and they even managed to have a case!

    • Oh and I was really happy to finally hear the letter she had for Booth from Aliens. She could never admit it outloud but she knew she loved him.

    • Oh yeah and Russ

    • The Christine thing is actually explained by Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan. The twins who play her were in fact there but they were having a rough day/crying. She was suppose to throw petals down the aisle/be the flower girl essentially. But it didn’t work out so no Christine shots.

      • On the Bonesology forum, there is a picture of Christine in her flower girl dress. It’s one of the scenes that was cut. It’s a purple dress. The little girl playing her looks a bit grumpy. So I guess they couldn’t get the scene completed before she had a meltdown.

    • I don’t see how Booth could have started the fire by lighting a candle, there were already candles lit. The only scenario I could see it happening is if he dropped the taper (is that what that stick they light candles with is called) and it smoldered on the floor or carpet.

I loved the episode. I’ve re-watched it twice. It would have been nice to have had a short mention of Jared and Russ though.

Wasn’t the man playing the priest at the beginning David Hornsby? Emily’s real life husband?

      • I think you are right about the priest. I was puzzling where I’ve seen him before, but I’m pretty sure now, it’s him 🙂

  3. Hang on to your hearts Bones fans. AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG! Who even cared about the murder when B&B were getting married~

    Still squeeeeing!!! OMG!!

-The church was the same one Christine was baptized in.
-LOL over Max “My God Booth, we burned the church down”
-The scene in Booth’s office. “We’ve waited long enough”
-The squints all pitching in to help
-OMG, The look Booth was giving Brennan as she was walking down the aisle.
-“At Last” perfect song for B&B sung amazing by Cindi Lauper.
-Love Max “It is my duty as a father to tell you if you hurt my little girl, I will kill you” Don’t mess with Max!!
-Their vows. So beautiful. Both of them tearing up. “This is the time. This is the moment”
-Love Aldo’s “By the power vested in me by D.C. and the internet…” lol.
-Brennan “You can kiss me now”
    -Their kiss so romantic. OMG.

  4. Wedding ep thoughts:

-Emily and her David’s at the church 🙂
Hodgins quotes: “Sleep will help you be pleasant” to Brennan
“I will be as positive as a proton” and “I have absolute faith in your absolute faith” to Angela
“Go do something else, somewhere else” Booth to Sweets
Brennan bossing the squints to get busy…love it
Booth and Max hug atthe church awwww
    Pops…called him Shrimp….I’m melting already.

    Brennan crying…
They were Gift of the Magi ing each other about the wedding so sweet!!!!
Brennan inviting the squints was classic Brennan lol
    Wedding perfection!!
We caught each other 🙂 what a perfect way to describe them!!

    Can’t complain 🙂

  5. Here are their vows:

Booth: I worked really, really hard on my vows, but now that we’re here… Look, hey, do you remember the last time that we were here? Standing right around this spot, it was right in the beginning before we really knew each other. I was trying to get away from you because you were irritating me and you chased me down and you caught up to me. I said to you, ‘Listen, I just have to get all my ducks in a row,’ and then you said to me, ‘I can be a duck!’ We have been chasing each other for a long time. We’ve been chasing each other through wars and serial killers and ghosts and snakes. Chasing you has been the smartest thing I’ve ever done in my life and being chased by you has been my greatest joy. But now, we don’t have to chase each other because we caught each other.

Brennan: When Hodgins and I were buried alive, we each wrote a message to someone we loved incase our bodies were ever found. Hodgins wrote to Angela and I wrote to you. Dear Agent Booth, you are a confusing man. You are irrational and impulsive, superstitious and exasperating. You believe in ghosts and maybe even Santa Claus and because of you I’ve started to see the universe differently. How is it possible that simply looking into your fine face gives me such joy? Why does it make me so happy that every time I try to sneak a peek at you, you’re already looking at me. Like you it makes no sense, and like you, it feels right. If I ever get out of here, I will find a time and place to tell you that you make my life messy and confusing and unfocused and irrational and wonderful. This is that time, this is that place.

    • Only question wasn’t the last time they were in the Jeffersonian gardens in Signs in the Silence? I always remember that because it was the episode right as they are on the edge of starting a new type of partnership:)

    • While these are very sweet, there’s absolutely no way season 2 Brennan wrote that. I can believe that looking back, she knows now that it’s what she felt at the time for Booth, but as the message she actually wrote – sorry, I’m not buying it, and not only because she clearly only scribbled a few words in that scene. Hanson said in an interview that he wrote the original text of her note years ago, and it was “Don’t blame yourself for not getting to me in time. I enjoyed working with you.” Not as romantic, but much more in character for Brennan back in season 2, and much more fitting for the scene in the car too, IMO.

      • I also remember that Hart said in an interview that the letter was supposed to come up at the Gravedigger’s trial in The Boy with the Answer but that Stephen Nathan forgot to write it into the script. Obviously they didn’t intend it as a love letter. But the wedding was beautiful so no complaints.

      • To be honest I got more of impression that she started reading the original note then went more like with her feelings now. But I agree if her vow is what she has written back then then it’s not in s2 Brennan’s character… I’m more leaning on the interpretation that Brennan from s9 just recognized her feelings from back then as love even if at the time she was not read for any of what they now share 🙂

  6. Perfect vows

  7. My favorite lines from vows:

“Chasing you has been the smartest thing I’ve ever done in my life and being chased by you has been my greatest joy”

“Why does it make me so happy that every time I try to sneak a peek at you, you’re already looking at me.”

  8. “What do you think happens now?” “Everything that happens next.”

  9. Loved the vows as well. Pretty much a perfect episode. Couldn’t have asked for more… except a peek at the reception:)

  10. Seriously, where is Christine?

  11. It was amazing…. There was so much build up to it for the whole series and it had to be hard to write it but they did….and it was amazing! I loved it and I cried. I felt like I was watching family….and the letter oh my goodness….the letter! Did not see that coming! Loved every minute! Every single one!

  12. Love love love this episode. The wedding was perfect.

As for Christine Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan did a post mortem with Tvline. Aussielo. Pretty much the twins who play her weren’t having a good day so she isn’t shown.

  13. Love. Extremely. Missed Christine, Russ, and Jared, but not everyone can make it to a wedding, so I wasn’t too put out. I loved it too much to be upset. Especially Hodgins’ shot back at Brennan about sleep. 😀 Angela making the wedding happen no matter what. Surprise! Avalon’s there too. And the Squiterns getups. 🙂 So much love.

  14. It was a lovely, lovely wedding and I am glad we were all invited.

  15. I’ve only watched it twice so far, though there will be more viewings to come for sure!! There was so much that was right about this episode that it’s hard to focus on the things that were missing (i.e. Christine). The vows could not have been better and it melts my heart to know that David had the input for changing Booth’s vows to what we got. I love, love, love how much he gets his character. Cyndi Lauper singing At Last gave me chill bumps. But the moment above any other moment for me was the look on Booth’s face when Brennan was walking down the aisle. Every woman dreams about a man looking at her like that and David nailed it! In that one moment, you could see all the years of love between these two characters. I could gush for days. The wedding was everything I had hoped it would be, other than longer! 🙂

  16. Also how pretty was her wedding dress? Gorgeous!

    • @Natbor, her dress was awesome. I especially loved the skirt, how it just flowed around her as she walked down the aisle!
@Dee (and others)-The baby actresses were fussy, so they didn’t get on screen…but after I think about it…Booth and Brennan were so darn adorable that if I had seen their baby too…I might have just imploded. 🙂 So maybe it was a good thing they couldn’t do it lol

  17. Absolutely loved the episode. Thank you Bones “powers that be” for giving us the wedding of a lifetime. There was a perfect amount of humor, seriousness and love. I thought the characters were right on target with their actions, expressions and words. Bones is a unique show, with unique and devoted fans. Nine years in the making, AT LAST!

  18. Just wonderful-it should have been a two-parter, I got such a big kick from every little story they delved into. The way Booth was looking at Brennan both as she came down the aisle and when she was putting the ring on his finger made me melt. As to Christine, I believe they tried to get her to cooperate, but ultimately there was no way to do it; a picture of her being the flower girl shows a not-too-happy camper there; crabby doesn’t quite describe the look on her face. Too many other guests and extras to deal with, too much ground to cover and probably no time to redo scenes. They’re married! It’s all I care about. I only wish they could devote an entire episode to the reception, but hey, their kiss at the end trumps just about everything else. Besides, the after-party can make for some great ff.

  19. How could I forget the way that Brennan stopped everything to make it clear that her father was not ceremoniously giving her to another man as though she was property! They nailed it. Such a perfect addition.

  20. For those of you who wanted to see Christine at the wedding:
    Tweet pic from HH-

    Look what we missed!!

  21. So I’m always quite apprehensive about those ind of episodes and was putting off watching it, not being sure I’ll be able to handle it, but I finally maned up and gave it a go and … ah… I’m so overwhelmed in a good way. It was so much more and better than anything I could have imagined. I was squealing with delight at every single person’s appearance (although didn’t see Christine there – but that’s only a reason to re-watch… 😉 ), laughing with joy at all antics by the team, truly excited by the case from the very beginning, enormously happy for squinterns team-up, and all weepy by the wedding vows…

How can they such an amazing TV? First the best birth scene ever (at least for me), then the most moving proposal last year and now this wedding episode…… That’s the reason I’m so in love with this show.

Now I’m off to read some comments 🙂

  22. I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere else, but the title of this episode has a double meaning since Emily Dickinson was known as “the woman in white”.

  23. I have always felt Brennan loved Booth from the beginning for many reasons even if she didn’t know it, I really have, especially after the flashback episode. Loved that Brennan’s vows was her Gravedigger letter and that we finally got to hear it. I thought that was brilliant. Loved that Booth tore up his written vows and spoke from his heart. Brennan speaking from her mouth – priceless. Aldo presiding – wonderful. Exchanging rings was really momentous. Max – always wonderful. He loves Booth too. Max has wanted them together since he left them at “the church” when they first met in S2. Caroline teary eyed and great. I’ve never been a fan of the squinterns but I loved the way they marched into the wedding in their outfits courtesy of the wonderful, brilliant, and loving Hodgins – just great (though odd Finn & also Michelle were missing). Angela always the fiercely loyal, outspoken, action taking, never giving up friend and I love that about her. Loved that Brennan actually had an old magazine page of a wedding dress. That she had little girl dreams like many little girls. Really touching. Wonderful seeing Parker again with Booth and being his best man – great. Been missing their interactions for a very long time. Liked Booth telling Sweets to get lost. Cyndi Lauper there and singing “At Last” – more than perfect. Missed the brothers. They’ve both become better men and love their families. Love & adore Pops and so very glad he was there. Marianne there and let alone with Pops – Ludicrous! Sorry but I cannot and will not ever forgive her for what she did. She did not belong there. There were a couple of other things that didn’t seem right, but not worth going into. So glad they brought back one of the show’s original great writers for this episode and very sweet they had Emily’s real husband in the episode. I thought he was really good and very cute. Loved that the Wedding was in the gardens near where Brennan & Booth gave their relationship/partnership/friendship a second chance as Booth said in his vows and as Brennan remembered well. That they didn’t care where or how the wedding was just as long as they got married. Brennan was so incredibly beautiful and Booth seemed to be in a complete state of disbelief. The Wedding was more wonderful and beautiful than I think either of them ever could have imagined. It was perfect.
